Hi, I’m Mira and I offer guided tours and excursions within architecture and urban development in Copenhagen's new urban neighborhoods - such as the northern harbour, Ørestad, Carlsberg City, the southern harbour, Grønttorvet and the Opera Parc.
I love showing people Copenhagen’s new neighborhoods - especially the places that you can't find in the guidebooks and tell them about the Copenhagen life - especially the small communities in the ‘outer’ areas of Copenhagen.
I like to have discussions and dialouges with the participants about the urban realm, sustainable and regenerative living, recycling architecture, the building industry, the new architecture, people and urban life as we explore the neighborhoods together on tour.
In my research I talk to the locals about their experiences as 'first movers' and their expectations as new residents and what they like about their neighbourhood or dislike
I’m also lucky to work with other local guides in Copenhagen, when I have larger groups or more tours at the same time.
Most group comes from the building industry - that means I greet a lot of architect groups, constructors, developers and realestaters and investers. But I also great the the couple who likes to go on a private tour.
I speak Danish, English and German fluently and if you are a group from France - you are welcome to ask me questions in french and I will do my best to answer in a nicely mix of french and English, haha.
I have a nicely mixed masters degree in Art History, Experience Design and Danish Lingustics from Roskilde University specializing in how site specific cultural events can contribute to urban development. And in 2012 I founded Experience Copenhagen - architecture tours!
I’m a mother of a seven year old, a ‘mother’ of a black labrador an entrepreneur and I live in Ørestad - one of the new urban neighborhoods in Copenhagen, where I find inspiration in the architecture, nature, the pioneer atmosphere and the friendly people. When not working my girls and I love to explore the performance scene in Copenhagen and go swimming.
I work on establishing a rooftop farm named “Asgers Have” together with many locally engaged people. The rooftop farm will be 3500 square meter and placed on top of a parking-house in Ørestad. We will have fields for growing crops, a restaurant, permaculture and lots of public green spaces for people to enjoy.
