Frederiks Brygge is located in the 100-year-old industrial area in Sydhavn, where many of the buildings bear references to the area's historical past when Frederiksholms Lime and Brickworks were established in 1871.
Both Vesterbro, Nørrebro, Østerbro, and Amagerbro have been built with burnt clay excavated from the underground areas around Frederiks Brygge, Tegelholm, and Enghave.
The Plate Hall, owned by Lemvig Müller, Denmark's largest supplier of iron and steel, has today been transformed into urban residences by C.F Møller's architectural firm, still with references to the steel plates that were produced in the building.
At Frederiks Brygge, there is also a holiday atmosphere, a bathing atmosphere, and the scent of delicious Italian coffee from SuperMarco, the old special steel hall from 1925.
